A comfortable environment that welcomes you to bring baby.

This class is a triage style group where you can learn about achieving a comfortable latch and have a consultant observe you feeding your baby. It is not as in depth as a one-on-one consultation, though.

You will be able to measure your baby’s intake using our scale and discuss the challenges you are having breastfeeding as well. Many mothers will not need additional care, but if further treatment is recommended, you will be referred to one of our Lactation Consultants.

This group is for breastfeeding women with babies up to 6 months and is facilitated by certified lactation consultants. To respect the privacy of some mothers, we please ask that dads kindly wait outside of the classroom.--thank you.

*please read our illness policy

Class begins at 11am. in our Classroom at 2719 East Madison (click here for directions)
*As a courtesy to those attending our classes/groups, there will be no late admittance the last 30 minutes of any session.

Classroom Etiquette:

  • Because our groups can often get quite large—we politely request that you keep cross-talking between parents to a minimum, so that everyone may hear the instructor.
  • In order to make our classroom a pleasant place for moms and babies, please let us know if you have any slips or spills so that we can take care of them promptly. Also please dispose of your garbage properly.

Illness Policy: Please do not come to class if you or your baby have a fever, cough, runny nose, sore throat, are vomiting or have diarrhea, or if you feel sick. If you have the flu, do not return to class until you or your baby have been fever free for 48 hours (in the absence of any fever reducing medications like Ibuprofen or Tylenol).
