Birth and Beyond is pleased to offer a
DONA approved class tailored to the needs of labor and postpartum doulas.
The 3 hour course will focus on breastfeeding in the family’s home. At the end of the seminar you will be able to:
- Describe how the baby latches and suckles.
- Identify normal newborn feeding patterns and positions.
- Recognize ways to know if the baby is getting enough milk.
- Identify common challenges where it may be appropriate to call a lactation specialist.
- Describe how to choose a method of milk expression.
- List resources that provide help for breastfeeding families.

Dolly Smith RN MS IBCLC, has many years experience working with birth families, adoptive parents and doulas in Seattle.

fee to another class in our store.
